From the cipher to the stage, the newly certified golden boys of hip-hop music known as
VAMOOSE will be the freshest duo to grace the NYC scene in Summer 2007. On Thursday,
May 10th, Vamoose hit the ground running with their highly anticipated Mixtape Release entitled Every Now And Then at the noteworthy Don Hills (NYC). Now this hip-hop group that is said to “sound like Outkast, rock like Tribe [Called Quest], work like Weezy [Lil' Wayne], and write like Nas” has decided to hit the road in August with or without label support. Vamoose will be going straight to their fans on a 21 day tour from New York to Los Angeles, backed by The Notorious Live Band and the havoc wrecking Deejay Captain Planet.
Those who have caught wind or been lucky enough to experience this New York City outfit in the flesh are well aware that this is not your typical stage spectacle. Old Boy and Everiman will be rocking shows everywhere from live rock venues, to mansions, to backyards, to the venues that your favorite hip hop artists first rocked back when their die hard fans experienced them for the first time. The tour will cover 14 Cities and be documented by award winning.
Typically, when a band hits the road for the first time it is primarily to promote an upcoming/already-released album, or to build up their national fan base. Fortunately, Vamoose isn’t typical. Although they will be promoting their debut album SPRING, These two emcees are on a mission to start a movement across the country, from city to city, where people JUST THINK ABOUT IT.
People are going to drive their cars, smoke their cigarettes, drink their alcohol, drive their petroleum powered SUVs, but what if we were just a bit more conscious about it all? People are going to be people, but what if there was a small alternative to these activities? What if you could do these things and help yourself AND the world at the same time?
Armed with hybrid cars, clear rolling papers, and bottles of smart water, we will prove on our journey from NYC to Los Angeles that alternative options, can be better for us all.
